the China Insurance Regulatory Commission (CIRC) on March 21 shows that at the
end of February, the total value of insurance
company investment portfolio reached CNY 3.85 trillion, CNY 26 billion
higher than in January, and a 14.3% year-on-year increase.

Total asset value of the insurance industry
was CNY 6.1 trillion in February 2011, a 17.3% year-on-year increase.
Direct written premiums increased 6.3% YoY in February.
The growth of total assets has remained stable since 2009.
