Mar 15 - Tencent’s Revenue in Q4 2011 Increased 43% to CNY 7.92 Billion

+       The total revenue of Tencent Holdings Ltd. reached CNY 7.92 billion in the fourth quarter of 2011, a 5.7% quarter-on-quarter increase, and a 43.4% year-on-year increase.
+       Tencent’s revenues from internet value-added services increased 6.6% quarter-on-quarter to CNY 6.4 billion, accounting for 80.8% of its total revenue in the fourth quarter.

Tencent’s revenue is at a historical high, but profitability is declining slightly

Tencent is enjoying an online gaming market share of roughly 40%. However, sliding peak concurrent users (PCU) of massive multiplayers online game (MMOG) could become a major concern in the future.

Tencent is leading social media networks in terms of the number of registered accounts.

Traffic shows that although users of Tencent’s Weibo may frequently log in, the time spent on the platform is never long.
