Feb 22 - Land Supply for Residential Purposes Only Half of that in Last Year

+       In 2011, 2.18 billion square meters of land were used for residential purposes, which was 1.2 times that of 2010. However, the land supply this year will only be half of the 2011 number.
+       The Ministry of Land and Resources promised that land supply for residential use this year will be no less than the average in the past five years.


Residential land supply in 2012 is estimated to be the average volume of the previous 5 years, and less than 70% of land supply in 2011.
The growth in land purchase area in 2011 equals the level in 2008.
