Dec 13 - Almost 63% of the Public Was Satisfied With Urban Environmental Protection in 2010

+   According to a report published on Dec. 12 by the Ministry of Environmental Protection, 62.9% of the public is satisfied with the urban environmental protection in 2010. Air and noise pollution were subjects of greatest concern among those polled.
+   In 2010, the disposal rate of urban sewage was 65.12% and that of urban garbage was 72.91%, up 1.7 and 0.85 percentage points from 2009.

Greater environmental consciousness and civil rights are shown in the continuous improvements in urban infrastructure, and in the society’s lower satisfaction in city environmental protection.
